Welcome to The Hawaii Big Game Fishing Club
The Heart of Hawaii’s Sportfishing Legacy Since 1914
Founded in 1914, the Hawaii Big Game Fishing Club (HBGFC) is the second-oldest big game fishing club in the world. We are dedicated to preserving Hawaii’s rich maritime legacy. For over a century, we have united people through conservation, culture, and community.
Driven by Laulima: A Legacy of Service More than just a meeting place, the HBGFC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization guided by the spirit of laulima, the Hawaiian value of many hands working together. Our mission extends well beyond the common passion of fishing. We support marine science, youth education, and island resilience. We actively reinvest in our community by funding student scholarships, partnering with conservation alliances, and supporting local family service organizations.
Community Action When crisis strikes, we mobilize. Most recently, following the devastation on Maui, the HBGFC partnered with the Honokohau Fishing Community to establish the "Maui Fishery Community Fire Emergency Relief Fund." Together, we raised and donated over $45,000 to provide immediate cash aid to over sixty fishery families.
Join us today and become part of a legacy that honors the past while shaping the future of Hawaii’s ocean community!
